FBA Fullfillment in USA & Canada
Hello, I currently have products listed and inventoried in Canada with FBA fulfillment. I would like to have these products also listed in the US with FBA, using US based inventory. This way we are not using Remote Fulfillment, but instead our US orders pull from US inventory and our Canadian orders pull from Canadian inventory.
What is the best way to achieve this? From what I can tell, using the "Sell Globally" feature with International Listings will use Remote Fulfillment in the second country (in this case the US). Is this the case? Should I be using International Listings, or just creating new listings directly in the US market? Second to that, if I am creating new listings in the US market, can I connect the listings so that our reviews and feedback are shown in both markets?
Thank you.

Hello @Seller_hyqmMYfNgGsLG,
Thank you for your question about expanding your FBA business from Canada to the US market. It's great to see sellers looking to grow their operations across borders.
To address your specific concerns:
- Sell Globally and Remote Fulfillment: You're correct that using the "Sell Globally" feature with International Listings typically sets up Remote Fulfillment. This isn't what you're looking for if you want separate inventory pools in each country.
- Creating separate listings: For your goal of maintaining separate inventories in Canada and the US, creating new listings directly in the US marketplace is indeed the better approach. This allows you to manage inventory separately for each country.
- Connecting listings for reviews: Unfortunately, Amazon doesn't currently offer a way to directly connect listings across marketplaces to share reviews. Reviews are typically marketplace-specific.
Steps to set up US listings with US-based inventory:
- Create a unified North American account if you haven't already.
- Set up your US tax information in Seller Central.
- Create new listings in the US marketplace.
- Send inventory to US fulfillment centers for these new listings.
Keep in mind:
- You'll need to manage inventory levels separately for each country.
- Pricing and promotions will need to be set independently for each marketplace.
For other sellers who have expanded from Canada to the US:
- What challenges did you face in managing separate inventories?
- Have you found effective strategies for building reviews in a new marketplace?
Remember, expanding to a new marketplace can involve complex tax and regulatory considerations. It's always wise to consult with professionals familiar with cross-border e-commerce to ensure you're compliant with all relevant laws and regulations.
