Customer was charged for a cancelled order?

I had to cancel an order due to no inventory, but a week after the cancellation, I got a negative feedback from the customer saying that "the order was cancelled, but Amazon advised that they would charge my account for this."

How is that possible? I thought Amazon doesn't charge customers on cancelled orders and any holds on their credit card would fall off a few days after the cancellation, so why would the customer get a message from Amazon advising that they would get charged for it?

Any help would be deeply appreciated.

Hey @Seller_6eOxpZ1U2ziNS,

This doesn't sound right. If you cancelled the order there is no way Amazon charged the customer's credit card.

Advise the buyer to contact Amazon if this was the case. Did you create a Case to have the negative feedback removed?
