Everyone must be careful of selling on Amazon if you get a "Counterfeit product violation" you will be deactived even if you have invoices

Dear Seller Performance Team,

We are writing to formally request a reconsideration of the recent deactivation of our Amazon seller account due to a reported counterfeit violation.

We have been a loyal and compliant seller on Amazon since 2015, with a strong record and no prior history of violations. The product in question has been part of our inventory for years, and until now, we have never encountered any issues or claims of counterfeit. Upon request, we promptly submitted valid invoices and supporting documents; however, our appeal was unfortunately rejected.

We understand and respect Amazon’s commitment to protecting brands and customers, and we fully support that mission. However, we are now being asked to provide the following documents, which are extremely difficult to obtain:

1. A Letter of Authorization (LOA) or Licensing Agreement (LA) from the Rights Owner

2. A registered trademark number

3. Legal documents such as a court order, temporary restraining order, or injunction

Despite repeated efforts, we have been unable to get a response from the brand owner regarding the LOA. As resellers, we are not always able to obtain direct authorization from brands, especially when they do not reply to communication. This makes it virtually impossible to fulfill Amazon’s requirements, even when we are sourcing products legitimately.

What’s most disheartening is that our long-standing history of compliant selling—nearly a decade without any counterfeit violations—appears to carry no weight. It’s discouraging to see an entire account deactivated over a single issue, despite a proven record of good performance. You would expect that our history and scale of operations would be considered in such a decision.

We currently have over 5,000 units of inventory in Amazon fulfillment centers, now stuck and waiting to be returned. The only feedback we receive from Amazon Support is to obtain a letter of authorization—again, something beyond our control.

This experience should serve as a cautionary reminder to all sellers on the platform: no matter how long you’ve been in good standing, your entire business can be taken offline instantly, without warning, and without consideration of your history. Sellers need to be aware that years of hard work and loyalty may not be enough to protect them from immediate deactivation over a single listing issue.

We've gotten these before, and we just provide the invoice from the brand owner authorized wholesale distributor, and they go away. It's usually a false flag by Amazon's AI.

If a brand owner mistakenly files a claim, we just contact our sales rep at the brand owner and they retract it.
