This is a legitimate email.
This is how you remedy the issue. : You need to complete virtual identity verification over a video interview. To reserve a time slot for the interview, fill out the form here.
You can also check your account health page and there should be a link there that will tell you how to set up the verification process.

Its real. Many sellers receive this message and they are unable to activate account again.
Your case is different. Just verify your identity and your account will be good.

Has anyone had Ebay or any other selling platform request they do a video interview? Seems very strange that Amazon does this.

I will not trust anything from email. it can be phishing email and the hackers are trying to steal your info and account info.
you need to check your account health. if the email was real, you will have yellow notice or box on your dashboard.

Yes, we had a video interview for identity verification purpose even before we could sell on Amazon.
And actually I think it's for the better.

It is real. Happened to me not by section 3 just deactivated due to inactivity. They asked for a bill and i sent them. They said we could not verify the bill, complete the survey select available time slots join the video call. And i did it. After that pufff Amazon dissapeared. Nobody invited me to video call. All three appointment dates passed, they are not replying to cases. Its been over a month! Amazon is really bad on seller support plus we are at Q4. So Good Luck!

Click on account info. Any info about verifying your identity should be there.

Every seller was required to verify their identity due to a new act that took effect a few months ago. You might miss the deadline to do that. Just do as they request, your account will be fine soon.

have double checked to see if this email address is actually from Amazon, click on the sender email if it shows an address that doesn't contain Amazon in the address it is more than likely a scam.
