Brazil added with no warning - now CC is closed for Fraud

No warning at all that Amazon added Brazil. Today I get a call that a charge attempt was made from San Paulo Brazil from Amazon.Com.BA for 0.00. I told them I did not attempt that charge so they closed my card for fraud. Now today I edit a listing and see they added Brazil. A little warning would have been good as now I closed my credit card for no reason. I also had to add a new card to everywhere on Amazon as the card was closed for fraud.

Amazon announced several months ago that they were adding Brazil to the North American Unified account. You'll only get a verification to your credit card if customers are looking at your listings in that country (looks like there are Brazilian customers interested in your product!)

However, your listings only become available in Brazil if you have automated settings turned on (Like Build International Listings). If you go into your account settings there are several options for international settings/automation. To avoid this issue in the future, I would recommend going and investigating those.

Just happened to us as well.

Since I do not see how I can DELETE this, I quickly placed the Brazil "Store" on vacation mode.

WE HAVE NO DESIRE TO SELL INTERNATIONALLY ON AMAZON.

If we ever change our mind, WE will decide. NOT Amazon deciding for us.
