Amazon Refunded Both the Product and Money Despite Delivery Proof with Address Photo – Unfair A-to-Z Decision!

Hello fellow sellers,

I’d like to share a recent experience with A-to-Z Guarantee that highlights a deep injustice in Amazon's dispute process—an issue that could affect any of us.

📦 Order details:

Order ID: 702-9745019-5433819

The product was delivered to the buyer's address including unit #202, as confirmed by carrier ePost Global.

The tracking number showed clear "DELIVERED" status.

We even received a real delivery photo from the carrier showing the buyer’s door and full address label clearly visible.

📅 Timeline of events:

March 4: Buyer requested a return saying, "I clicked on the wrong rug, I don’t need it."

The same day, we provided a prepaid return label, which cost us $34.54 USD.

March 5: The package was successfully delivered.

March 14: Buyer opened an A-to-Z claim and changed their story, saying “this was a return request, not a refund, and I never received the item.”

From March 14 to March 18, we submitted all necessary evidence, including tracking, warehouse receipt, and the photo proof of delivery.

March 17: Amazon denied our defense and granted the refund to the buyer despite the proof, deducting the amount from our account.

📎 What’s wrong here:

The buyer received the item.

There is a photo proof with the address clearly visible.

We paid $34.54 for a return label, which was never used.

All evidence was submitted within 4 days, well inside Amazon’s 7-day response window.

Yet, Amazon closed the case early and ignored everything.

🎯 Summary:

Tracking confirmed ✔️

Return label uploaded on same day ✔️

Delivery photo showing address provided ✔️

All documents submitted within timeframe ✔️

Amazon still ruled in favor of buyer ❌

Buyer now has both the item and the refund, and we are left with a financial loss.

📢 Our Call to Action:

This is not just about one order. It’s about the lack of due process for sellers. Amazon ignored hard evidence, rushed to refund, and didn’t even wait for us to obtain the delivery photo—despite our clear request for more time.

We demand:

The A-to-Z decision be reversed

A refund of $136.51 CAD

Reimbursement of the $34.54 return label cost

Removal of all negative impact from our account health and ODR metrics
