deleting 1 marketplace - Canada
years ago I designated 2 marketplaces, USA and Canada. I've never sold in Canada. I have asked Amazon how to delete the Canada marketplace in my account and the answer was rather complicated and it seemed I might be risking shutting down USA as well. So I figured I'd just pay the $14.95 fee each month for the Canada marketplace as a reasonable "penalty" for not knowing what I am doing.
Does anyone know how I can delete Canada?

You can't, you have a North American Unified Selling Account.
$39.99 USD + tax/month gives you a USA based selling account that lets you sell in all 3 countries in north america. There is no such thing as a USA only selling account. The $14.95 is not a penalty. If you deleted Canada or went to Individual instead of professional status there, you would still be charged $39.99 USD + tax a month.

Thank you for posting your question in this thread! I see that you wanted to know how to delete your Canada store in your account but didn't get useful information from Amazon before, I apologize for that experience, but I'm happy that you were able to obtain the correct answer thorugh Forums!
I would like to confirm that @JPart2 in fact is correct, with your North American Unified Account, you get to sell in all marketplaces in one single account for the same subscription fee, but if you opt out of selling in the Canada store, the subscription fee remains the same.
