Percentage off additional item promotion
I have been messing around with the promotion a lot and seen some good things from it so far. I am interested in trying to do a promotion on an additional item. I set up the promotion, but it is not showing up on the detail page. I am the buy box on item 1, but not item 2 if that makes any difference. The promo is up and running, and once the customers add the item to their cart it actually works, but how would a customer know to add the two items to their cart if it is not being displayed. So I need to find out what is preventing it from being displayed to the customers.

As noted in your post, if your listing is not winning the buybox, then the offer is not shown until a buyer puts the product in their shopping cart and checks out. There is no solution to the problem - that is the way it works.
