Edits To Our Own Detail Pages Routinely Rejected

We own our own brands and want to edit images, text, bullet points etc. and our edits are so often rejected that I tell my staff: Act as if once we've made a listing, we can't change it.

Obviously, this isn't ideal. We have some listings that would be much better off if only we could change our images. Do you guys know what we might be doing wrong? Is there some trick to ensure new images are added to listings you've made on brands you own?

I understand your situation. We are having the same problem. It appears that Amazon is pushing the brand option, but the programmers themselves do NOT really understand the dynamics. But like other stuff, they push forward.

If you create a brand, it can ONLY be branded if it has a trademark or pending trademark. Hence we are stuck paying lawyers to trademark a logo that we put on our products. In 2018 I opened my Seller Account and put our custom products online. Today, we still have 3 items suppressed due to small errors at the setup time. We are unable to edit our own products as Amazon says we are NOT the brand owner. So ... I cannot fix them.

So .. long story short, it would appear I have to get my product trademarked, then submit the trademark to Amazon, await their approval ( which I have read horror stories about) and then (If I am Lucky) I can fix the items on line.

As Amazon prides the customer experience, then increasingly loose this as they make it harder for Sellers to properly address issues and YES, updating text and images "isn't ideal".

I've run into this and something that worked the last time was this...

If you are using FBA you have 2 listings SKUs (1 for FBA, 1 for FBM) in your inventory (same ASIN).

Try making your changes to the original listing SKU (FBM)...Once that is approved, see if it changes in your FBA SKU.

I think once you get the FBM SKU changed it will trickle down to the FBA SKU or you can at least make the change to the FBA SKU after the FMB is updated with the right info.

Good luck.
