Accused of selling pesticides

What is it with Amazon stating after careful review? I do not see a careful review when we are falsely accused of selling pesticides and then will not listen. We sell a natural product for wool carpeting that that has turned brown under certain conditions. Wool can not become over wet and so we apply a 5% solution of white vinegar and 95% distilled water using a roller ball applicator. This corrects the browning effect with out over wetting the carpet. It is abundantly clear that a live person does not read our product details.

I am consistent. 5% acetic acid as found in vinegar is considered a very weak pesticide if even considered one. 1% is not even remotely considered a pesticide. I was not flagged for using 1% acetic acid. I was flagged for using our Brand Name. That was a name of a weed killer ten years ago.I would think as a seller yourself, that you would stick up for other sellers when it is abundantly clear that Amazon made a decision in error. I find that you are trying to find fault instead of helping. I want Amazon to stop with the “after careful review “ bit. They need to address why we we were flagged.

There are a lot of claims that can cause problems; for example, do you point out that because it doesn't get too wet, that mold is not a problem? That would trigger it.

If you are in the US, take the pesticide course; then you can mark your item as 'Not a pesticide".

I need to explain this better. Apples will brown when cut into slices. Lemon juice will prevent this. An off-white wool carpeting can have brown areas caused by the carpet getting wet. We reverse the cause of browning by applying a weak acid in a controlled manner. Nothing whatsoever related to a pesticide

Careful review mean careful review. This was not reviewed carefully. When the PH of a wool carpet becomes slightly alkaline, browning will occur. Applying a weak acidic soulution such as vinegar will restore the PH and remove the browning. Vinegar is not a pesticide. Now my careful review tells me that Amazon is not worthy of selling my Products. This item and several other products have been removed by us. Please be honest and stop with the careful review remarks.

After clearly explaining that the PH of a wool carpet may become alkaline resulting in a browning effect. Restoring the correct PH is made by applying a weak acidic solution of vinegar.

Amazon’s response within 5 minutes was. We received your submission and after careful review we have determined that your ASINs do not meet the criteria for reinstatement.ASIN: B0852816HCT This product has been identified as an unregistered and/or misbranded pesticide product or device that is not compliant with the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act. My response,  “ Any form of communication that deceives is clearly a lie. There was no careful review! Careful review mean careful review. This was not reviewed carefully. Sure. Sounds good.

It's only money. Amazon won't mind if you don't sell your product.

Of course, it seems to me that taking the course and telling Amazon "Not a pesticide" would take less work than you've already put into this thread, plus you'd get your product listed to sell.

But keep up the good fight! Just keep in mind that you won't be able to sell your product as long as you do.

Interesting; so you admit that vinegar is in fact considered a pesticide (albeit "minimum risk"), but don't want to go through the steps required to list on Amazon.

I wish I was so rich as to not care about running my business into the ground over the refusal to do something so simple. But I admire you for standing up for what you fee is "right".
