missing discounting on Media Mail shipping rates???
THe media mail rate for shipping used to be discounted when I compared to what it cost to mail directly thru the post office. Now it appears that the discount is no longer there. the rates are the same both from Amazon and USPS.gov. What happened? The $$$ charged by Amazon to the customer is still the same as before. $3.99 where a 5 ounce envelope which is what a single CD in an envelope weighs is $4.13. Looks to me like Amazon needs to up its charged shipping fees as a padded envelope costs $0.30 more. It should be at least $4.50 now. We small volume sellers are getting screwed with all the additional fees and no compensation.

I don't recall MM ever being discounted; in fact, many people have pointed out that it's the same price regardless of where you buy it, including the other online postage companies.
If the postage cost is a problem for you, then you should increase your prices.
