My Cosmetic Product (ASIN B0032FSDOA) Keeps Getting Rejected – Even with Health Canada Approval

Hi,

I’m having a hard time getting my product reinstated on Amazon.ca and wondering if anyone here has dealt with something similar.

The product is Regenepure DR Shampoo (ASIN: B0032FSDOA). It’s a cosmetic, not a drug or health product. I’ve submitted the official Cosmetic Notification Form (CNF) from Health Canada that shows it’s registered as a cosmetic (cosmetic number: 03326543).

It doesn't make any claims like “treating hair loss” or “stimulating growth.” The listing just talks about gentle cleansing and daily use. I’ve also made sure:

  • The packaging is bilingual (English and French)
  • The full ingredient list is on the label
  • All content is cosmetic-only (no medical or health claims)
  • The CNF and product label images are uploaded

But Amazon keeps rejecting the appeal, saying I need to upload a DIN or NPN. Since it’s a cosmetic, it doesn’t have or need a DIN/NPN. I’ve already explained that and provided proof, but the responses feel automated and don’t address what I’ve submitted.

Has anyone had success resolving something like this? Is there a way to escalate it or speak to someone who will actually look at the documents?

Thanks in advance.

I can give you my experience.

Do not use the words "scalp" "penetrate" "deep" "follicle" etc.

Amazon AI will detect these words as NHP and de-list it.

Sometimes, the only way to get around it is delete the listing, re-write the description and post again. I can see your product on USA amazon and I can tell right off the bat, lots of terms Canadian amazon AI wont like.

I do see your other products, some of them contain specific ingredients that might be regulated as "for hair growth" in Canada, like Minoxidil

Sometimes you can just edit the description and let it go, but sometimes it wont let you the agents are usually very busy and do not even read the details, they just use AI.

Most of the initial level responses are from a pre set questionnaire and fixed answers which may not carry logical reasoning. So it is best to escalate until you find your listing reinstated. I have faced these issues multiple times and may sellers too, so you are not alone in this and it does not mean that your product is unworthy to be sold. Keep escalating and I am positive your listing will be reinstated. Amazon takes great care of its sellers, but we need to know the right way/ process & a lot of patience until the case is resolved to our satisfaction. Remove any words that say "treat, growth, gusrenteed"" etc, anything that may sound or appear to fix a problem. Instead just be generic and use the words "hair care, good hair" etc.

You could also try using ChatGPT as it will help you plan words better. Be specific with your questions and commands. It helped me a good deal.

Hi @Daryl_Amazon @JiAlex_Amazon @Ricardo_Amazon @Christine_Amazon @Jurgen_Amazon

Can someone please take a proper look at my case? Amazon said it would be reviewed in 10 business days, but after all that time, I just received the same repeated response asking for a DIN/NPN - without actually reviewing the documents I already submitted. There’s been no real resolution or explanation. Please help. The case ID is 17840612021.
