Your account has been selected to be auto-enrolled in Automated Handling Time (AHT). FU
Who in the he'll asked for this?????
And note that only AFTER this is crammed down our throat will Amazon allow us access to some Byzantine Video to explain how to remove ourselves.... (and it is probably changeable only one Fri-ken sku at a time!!!!)
Your account has been selected to be auto-enrolled in Automated Handling Time (AHT). This change will occur on February 28th with no action required on your behalf.
Automated Handling Time will set more accurate Handling Times for each of your Fulfilled by Merchant (FBM) offers. With this upgrade your offers will have a more accurate delivery date, which is normally shorter and more appealing to buyers, typically resulting in more sales.
After Automated Handling Time is enabled, if you prefer to manually set your Handling Time per SKU, watch this video to learn how.

I got the same notification. I DO.NOT. want this.

I just posted the same thing, only less politely. I am livid that they keep expecting us to live up to a standard they don't live up to. And yet another badly written bot forced on our businesses.
I already convinced my inventory handler to write a script to help override the last attempt.
Before one of the moroons from amazon comes on here and talks again about updating 5000 or more individual skus that AMAZON screwed up, how about you volunteer to do this for each of us? Or just tell us where the button is to turn this bs off? I've repeatedly used my big girl words in surveys and anywhere amazon pretends to be listening to booksellers. this is just simply stupid on a mass scale by some fool that likely got a promotion from it.

Just got that email too.
Clicking on the link to the new default handling time setting I see that my choice for default is zero or one.
If this plays out like they say it will I will stop selling here.

It's been nearly half an hour since you posted this.
But so far, no mod has chimed in to tell you how incredibly wonderful this is, and how much it will help you, and how lucky you are to have been selected for this "upgrade", and how Amazon knows how to run your business better than you do, and how everyone loves it! (because apparently no one at Amazon can read the complaints)
Note that the very same metrics that can earn this "reward" are also bad enough to cause violations in ODR%.
Major messed up situation. '
And yet Amazon refuses to listen to the complaints, and keeps telling us how incredibly wonderful it is.

I used to think that the folks theorizing that Amazon wanted to drive used book and media sellers off the site where overreacting, but if Amazon once again has only a per SKU opt out for an unwanted (by anyone) "feature", driving us out can only be the explanation. Most used media sellers have thousands of SKUs, one for each individual item, making this overly tedious on the level of punitive. How depressing.

This is one more "great" idea from Amazon.. what would we do without them!
In other words, Amazon doesn't like us, sellers, being too secure with handling time. If we set 4 days and we ship in 2 days that means we are doing too good. So this newest nonsense will adjust everything to 2 days I guess. Of course, why should we do our job at ease - we should always be afraid of Late Shipment with this AHT.
Well, there is a way out of this.. we will just have to ship everything at maximum longest time possible! Nothing would change then I guess...

Hi @Seller_WAZNnMBpd99sI,
Dominic from Amazon here, want to provide some additional context. If you wish to opt out of this once enrolled. it is easily doable via the instructions below:
- In the settings menu in Seller Central, select Shipping settings.
- Click the General shipping settings tab.
- Scroll down to Handling time and click Edit.
- Toggle to turn off Automated handling time and click Save.
Once you opt out, all of the SKU's will revert back to the handling time you have originally set, there will be no need to manually update them.
Additionally if you decide to not opt out, your LSR metrics will not be impacted for the first 90 days.
Best,
Dominic

The last time Amazon "enrolled" us into Automated Handling Time, Priority Mail was the only option to meet the new delivery deadlines. We were on it less than 24 hours and I went searching for a way to get off AHT. Just more administrative bull from Amazon that causes frustration and wastes your time. There is a reason we have all our delivery times set to the maximum number of days allowed.

Prepare for expedited shipping on all orders even though standard shipping is paid for. Otherwise you will not meet the delivery date. But FBA can sit on an order for a month without any issues.

I made the mistake of voluntarily switching to this some years ago. Big mistake. First, we need the minimum 2 day lead time to resolve any addressing problems; if it doesn't verify, it doesn't ship.
In situations like Xmas & whenever the carriers are backed up & less reliable, we need the buffer time to protect us. Amazon doesn't seem to think so.
But more importantly, switch to this destroys ALL of your existing template pricing & speed info. To switch back, you'd need to recreate it all. A big, laborious task.
