Inventory Limits Dropped - No Warning?

Hello,

I went to create a multi-ASIN shipment today and was unable to due to restock inventory limits. This limit is only 200 units total? During the holiday season we had over 1000 units in stock so I am not sure why this is happening.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Inventory levels were reduced in January(?) for all skus that are not selling quickly and all new ASINs to 75 units. Having said that if your inventory is moving quickly, the limit will be increased based on your sales volume. For instance, I have one sku that I just sent over 300 units in.

Yes. This is a brand new feature launched today and Amazon has not given warning to anyone prior. Read the latest news post and you’ll understand why. This is significantly going to impact many FBA sellers. We’re on track to do $500k this year and according to these new limits we can’t even send in almost 1/3rd of what we normally have as max inventory.

Completely ridiculous, this restriction needs to be removed immediately. I carry thousands of skus and am currently tens of thousands of units over my limit… despite being a multimillion dollar seller annually. This is literal insanity.

This must be some kind of a mistake. I am allowed only 5% of my current inventory. I have some pretty good moving inventory. If they plan to open new warehouses why would they cut back so drastically?

We used inventory reports and summed our inventory to be 6k pcs, we have a limit of 15k pcs, and our current usage is 21k pcs.

I guess they are adding our NARF inventory as well (inventory in amazon USA warehouses). Seems like a pretty big bug.

This is the end of the world for me.

I am like 4000 items (500%) over my limit…

I have a shipment of 500 units that was delivered to FBA yesterday but not yet received. I’m afraid they will send these back at my expense! This was 500$ to ship to FBA…

I have 1,500 units in my garage that were supposed to be shipped TODAY! The are all boxed and labeled ready to go but I cannot ship anything anymore.

I’m freaking out. For the love of god PLEASE I HOPE THIS IS A MISTAKE!

This is devastating my business. We will probably have to close.

We have items on order now that we cannot store or sell by FBA as allocated, and we have items forced back on us from FBA at the same time we cannot store.

No warning and no time to prepare is devastating to us.

This cant be legal. We have 140 000 units but only allowed 40 000 units in stock - no warning, no reason, no calculation like IPI in the US. They’re allowing new businesses unlimited stock for the first 9 months and then restrictions apply. This sounds like amazon wants to penalize established business who they think are capable of shipping themselves while opening warehouse space for newcomers. Probabaly many businesses moving online since covid and they want to give them a fair shot by sending our businesses to the grave. How long will selling on amazon be a viable option for anyone?

Ok well then don’t tell me to breathe because you don’t understand the situation.

I can’t send new asins, new products, stuff I’ve already ordered, paid for, and is en route to me now. Stuff I don’t have space for.

I won’t be able to sell it which means I can’t pay for it which means I can’t stay in business
