Valid Tracking Rate (VTR) gone below 95%
Hello!
I have just got an email from Amazon about my VTR has gone below 95% as out of 18 orders, 2 of them did not have the tracking ID. Actually, I delivered two orders myself as they were close to my residence. I remember reading some forum a while go where the seller was seeking suggestion on the orders which were close to their residence, and somebody suggested them to deliver the order themselves. I followed the same thing and updated the shipping co. as “Self Delivery/ Delivery by Merchant”, under the Shipping method, I had updated “Expedited” and in the tracking ID - I added a comment- ETA date-month, but when I delivered the package myself, I immediately updated the Tracking ID to read as “Delivered”.
Is that a wrong practice? How would you deal with such situation? Would you rather save delivery cost or still buy shipping??
What are your thoughts on that?
Thanks

hello!
don't shipped by yourself because their is no record with amazon that you have delivered that product to the costumer and apart that i got a mail from amazon one of the category got deactivated and they need tracking information of that order. if you have issue and want to send appeal to the amazon from suspension let me know

Yes, this is indeed wrong practice. Amazon wants to be able to see legitimate tracking numbers, as you have found out.
The good news is that if you don't continue this practice, the VTR should come back up as you continue to ship items with valid tracking. It sticks for 30 days. Mine also went under for a couple of weeks as I made an error on three packages. It was nerve wracking waiting it out, but Amazon probably won't go any further if all of your metrics are good and you ship with valid tracking from now on. A repeat of falling below 95% might get their attention if it happens again. Good luck.

Hello TrendSphere,
Thank you for contacting us, and thank you fitflex1 and booknut7 for your valuable input as well.
As mentioned during this thread, you should avoid doing this practice as it will lower for Valid Tracking Rate (VTR) as you have witnessed.
Allow me to share these good videos from our Seller University with extra tips regarding this important topic:

I made the same mistake by using some Local delivery company in my case. My VTR was gone way down If amazon cannot verify the tracking details online this is going to happen. Becasue remember it is all automatic system would suspend or flag your account based on what is seeing.
