Confused about listings and matching products that already exists
Hi! I am a bit confused about 2 things:
1- I am currently purchasing products on Alibaba but since those products don't have any UPC, how can I match that product to one that is already sold on AMZ to be sure that I am allowed to sell it?
For example if it is a cushion there are thousands of different ones and going by description is not helping that much either, it is hard to narrow it down and not having to look at pages and pages of similar items.
2- If I do find a product that is similar but can't be sure it's a complete match (for example greenery) do I make a new listing for it, like it is not sold on AMZ although it is or I use the ASIN of the similar product?

If you're buying products off Alibaba, you have to buy your own UPC for your brand and private label the item for your brand and then create your own listing. You can't use an existing listing product on Amazon, as you aren't authorized to use the existing brand's name or trademark.

As long as the brand owner has granted you authorization to sell their branded item, and you're purchasing from the brand owner or one of their wholesale distributors
