Buying USPS postage as a Canadian
We are a Canadian company selling to both US and Canadian Amazon customers. About 2 months ago we have been told by both of the 2 companies that take our packages ( Chit Chats and Stallion ) over the boarder that we can no longer buy our USPS postage from Amazon, stamps.com or directly from USPS. We are now forced to buy our US postage ( Still USPS ) from them. Nobody at either of these companies has been able to explain why and just blame US customs. Obviously buying from Amazon offers seller protection from the scammers, so I would prefer to buy that way. Have any other Canadians figured out why this is happening?

They have put out messages in detail on why this is happening. I take it you haven't been up to date in the news the last 100 days?
Because THEIR customs broker needs to preclear the packages before crossing the border, due to the removal of de minimis. Tariff codes and country of origin need to be verified for every US shipment.
Amazon doesn't preclear USPS labels from Canada. Amazon doesn't transport it across the border for you.
All Tariffs and duties need to be prepaid to the US government for each item in the shipment BEFORE it crosses the border if using USPS from Canada.
