Forgot to Add Suffocation Warning Label on 8"x12" Poly Bags - What Are the Consequences?
Hi everyone,
I realized that I forgot to place a suffocation warning label on some of the poly bags used for my products, and the bags are 8"x12" in size. Does anyone know if this could cause any issues with Amazon's policies? Are there any penalties or consequences from Amazon for not including the warning label on bags of this size?

Hi @Seller_j57KjkGS0YxIR,
Daryl here from our Forums team, would be happy to provide insight on this matter.
Poly bags used to protect the product must meet the following requirements:
Amazon requires sellers to comply with all applicable Federal, state, and local laws, rules, regulations, ordinances, and directives with respect to product packaging materials.
Sellers should direct any related questions to their legal counsel. Generally, suffocation warnings should be present on all plastic bags that are 1 mil or less thickness or that have a 5” or greater opening and are used to protect product.
Required warning language and presentation requirements may vary on the state and local levels. At a minimum, Amazon recommends that vendors include a message on plastic bags consistent with the following:
WARNING: "To avoid danger of suffocation, keep this plastic bag away from babies and children. Do not use this bag in cribs, beds, carriages or play pens. This bag is not a toy."
Placement/Printing of label: Such warning statement must be imprinted in a prominent place on the plastic bag or appear on a label securely attached to the bag in a prominent place. The statement must be printed in legible type and contrasted by typography, layout or color from the contents of the bag, and from other printed matter on the bag, if any.
Not following these guidelines can result in product restriction.
Hope this helps!
