All new and past applications to ungate now require 100 units?

My requirements for ungating a brand/listing have drastically changed, specifically the amount of units needed for purchase. All new and past applications for listing a product, now have a requirement of 100+ units purchased to ungate the brand.

The older applications 2+ weeks ago that required a 10 unit purchase, now require 100. Why has this requirement changed to 100?

Is this punishment for missing a meeting on January 13th with my Amazon rep? I was working one of my 2 main jobs, and had to stay late.

These changes eliminate my business from purchasing pallets from my sources that always have quality brands, but some of the lots might not be available in increments of 100 unit or more.

I finally start moving some bulk, and now the system reverts me back to beginner status?

This requirement may be saving you. So you have authorization from these "quality brands"? Are your sources authorized distributors of the brands you are buying from them?

Are these really expensive items then? Hard to imagine that an authorized distributor wouldn't have 100 units of an item that they are selling unless it was really pricey.

I have to admit, I'm curious as to what type of thing are you selling that "bulk" is quantities less than 100?

I'll also mention that you didn't answer my question; are you authorized BY THE BRAND to sell their items here? Your sales/account rep with the brand should be able to direct you to a distributor with sufficient inventory.

STOP!!!! Just because your distrubutor/supplier is authorized to sell to you it does not mean you can turn around and legally be authorized by the BRAND to sell the BRAND that you purchased on Amazon.

Being ungated by Amazon is not the ONLY necessary permission you need to sell on Amazon. My guess is that you have not watched any videos in the Amazon University. These are FREE videos that will give you the education to sell on Amazon BEFORE you invest in any product!!!

If you even attempt to sell a BRAND on Amazon without the legal written authorization from the BRAND (not supplier) the BRAND giving you authorization to distribute/sell that BRAND on Amazon, Amazon will deactivate your account and you will NEVER be allowed to sell on Amazon again. Being ungated by Amazon does not mean you are authorized to sell that BRAND. Another question....Where are you getting the product? Are you getting it from a RETAIL source or a WHOLESALE source? Do you have an INVOICE or a RECEIPT from the purchase of that product????

These are very important questions.......

"Yes, I have, and can get LOA from the sources I'm referring to."

No assumptions....A letter from your supplier is not the same as getting authorization from THE BRAND. You need to have it BEFORE you purchase your products.

You need to watch the Amazon University Videos

The reason for the number of units to ungate and sell a product are set by the BRAND. So if you purchased as an authorized Brand reseller then you would have been required to purchase that amount. This restricts people from buying 1-2 products at a reduced wholesale for personal consumption/use instead of a retail source price.

Hello @Seller_Iya6mSn00s3Wt,

Thanks for posting here. In order to review this further, you will need to provide the associated ASIN or FNSKU that you are concerned about in case 17107496511 or in a new case so they can review the requirements for listing your product.
