Order Defect Rate strike for non-delivery of order shipped before Canada Post Strike
I got an A-Z claim recently that the customer filed due to non-delivery of the product. The product was shipped prior to the Canada Post strike. I understand the customer should be refunded for this, even as my product is being stuck in the local Canada Post facility at risk of delivery anyways despite the refund.
Has Amazon said anything about whether or not the ODR will be hit because of this issue that is outside of our control? We got hit on our order because of this, and the appeal did not result in reversal of the strike. Anyone from Amazon can take a look at this? Please & Thanks

Probably the same as when Sellers had shipments stalled by the 2021 floods in BC that crippled ground transport.
ODR hits wlll disappear when the orders are no longer in the 60 day moving time range.

I'm assuming this is for shipping bought outside of Amazon?
I get hit with ridiculously priced DHL options, but at least I'm protected from things like this.

Amazon's is now a Gangsta's paradise !
I'm getting my account hit by waves of customers using A-to-Z claims to get free stuff and get paid back for their purchase. Everybody knows that orders are stuck in the Canada Post's system, except Amazon and the opportunist customers abusing this seller platform. Be prepared to lose hundred or thousand of dollars and lose your reputation !

Ebay has your back,
Information on the labour actions affecting Canada Post services
As the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) strike extends into its fourth week, Canada Post delivery services continue to face disruptions, affecting the flow of shipments across Canada. We understand this is a challenging time for both you and your customers. We're reaching out to share our response to the situation and to request your continued partnership.
To support you and your business, eBay is implementing automatic protections for the next seller standards evaluation. These include:
• Late Shipment Rate (LSR) defects
• Tracking uploaded and validated rate
• Negative or neutral feedback if tracking was uploaded and validated by the carrier
• Out of Stock cancellations
Additionally, all Item Not Received (INR) claims are now on hold, and the Estimated Delivery Dates (EDDs) for all shipments with Canada Post have been extended. These measures will ensure deliveries have enough time to be completed during the strike and will remain in effect until Canada Post resumes regular operations.
To navigate these disruptions, we recommend the following actions:
1. Maintain active listings: Keep listings active for continued visibility and sales.
2. Provide alternative shipping solutions: For outstanding orders, don’t ship with Canada Post, even if it was selected at checkout. Update your listings to incorporate alternative options like FedEx and UPS.
3. Offer local pickup: Allow buyers in your area to collect their orders in person.
4. Communicate: Inform buyers about potential delays and accommodate requests for cancellations on unshipped orders.
5. Stay updated: Regularly check the Community page for updates and consult Canada Post for information on the strike.
eBay will continue to monitor the situation and adjust guidance and protections as necessary, please keep an eye on the Community Board for further updates.
Thank you for your continued efforts and commitment to selling on eBay.

Same thing happened to me. The package got delayed by the high volume faced by courier companies. Due to this my ODR has been affected, and my account is on the verge of deactivation.
No seller regards, as always by Amazon.
