Customer wants to return damaged item outside 30 day window ($250 Game System)

Hello, Just trying to stay up to date on this as policy changes often here

Customer wants to return an item past 30 days delivery window return because the game system now doesnt turn on.

Does any one have experience here on what Amazon does/will do?

Does a customer service agent have the authority to authorize a return request? If so:

Will this be refunded at first scan to be able to file a Safe-t Claim? Is the whole amount eligible as system is not worthless?

I believe if a return is not authorized, they are still eligible for an A-Z claim to be opened.

Will this A-Z claim be denied? If approved, do they receive a full refund and keep the item?

Hello @Seller_l1YNeoBqqHdyY- thanks for this post.

In general, buyers do have a 30 day window from receipt of a shipment to open a return case. If they have reached out to you to work on issues throughout, it may be possible that customer service could reach out to launch a claim.

Should that happen, you can refer to this guidance on responding to a claim, and appealing a claim. You can also see our full policy on A-Z claims.

What is the current status of this? Thanks for letting me know!
