Protest to Amazon by Canadians?

My sales really have decreased for a month. Could this be because Canadians are no longer shopping at Amazon because of Trump's attitude towards Canada?

What about your sales, do you have any problem?

with the recent shut down of warehouses in Quebec and the tarrifs, there is a small boycott of Amazon in Canada. I would like to see a dedicated truly Canadian businesses section on the platform for Canadian Brands and resellers, that would give the customer a clearer choice

My sales for the last month are within expectations (compared with results over the last 2 years). That said, I am expecting a big drop over the next couple of months as buyers pull back on purchases because of job uncertainty and tariff price inflation.

I remember the USA bank crisis of 2008 and I saw my amazon sales tank (down around 75%) -- admitedly, most of my products are what I call non-essentials (stuff that you can easily delay buying until later). Took until 2012 to recover. I expect Trump's great tariff depression to have a similar impact.

Plans: I will be letting most of my products go out of stock until I see where this is all going. I have a bit more flexibility since I have no products tied up in FBA.

Because of these Warehouse shut , Amazon is playing with feature buy box to clear their warehouse they did the same thing in January and when seller complained they turned it on again and now again,

this clearly shows that Amazon controls the feature buy box

You will see many seller VTR inaccurate again like last year same time so they can play with these metrics to justify

i believe sellers needs to form and make a case so they understand to be less greedy. the are already getting a 15% commission!!

Well, prices are jumping because of Canada's retaliatorily tariffs and the weak Canadian dollar.

At the same time, economic uncertainty (triggered by same tariffs) are causing buyers to delay spending and businesses to scale back investment.

The plunging stock-market doesn't help.

All this adds up to a weaker economy which means fewer purchases.

This can turn around quickly, if Mr. Trump decides he's done targeting Canada.

Its March. Typical for sales to fall. Trust me more people are yapping and less are actually walking the walk. Self flogging never gets you anywhere

Has nothin to do with trump or amazon, Canadians just dont have the cash to afford right now, our dollar is dropping per day, ppl are loosing jobs etc, things the media is not talking about, housing markets are crashing etc there is many factors and issues, We only sale made in canada and USA products our prices have not changed but because of issues with in canada and our uncertainty of our future (majority wants 51st including us) sales are much slower so long story short has nothing to do with Trump. its more our leadership in Canada and the lies

My sales are down but I feel it is for economic reasons. As a Canadian buyer and seller on Amazon I have no quarrel with America people or their government. My problem is with my own government.

not to brag or anything but my Canadian sales are humming right along. My biggest issue is getting paid fast enough by Amazon to keep my credit card paid so I can keep up with Inventory purchases.

From our estimation, maybe 5% decrease. Nothing major so far but if the tarrif war goes on, Amazon will have to put in place some sort of system that rewards canadian businesses (a seller badge or section) if they want to keep their customer base, as more and more Canadians will choose local options if trump continues to bully Canada.
