Can I use a pending trademark filed through USPTO (not IP Accelerator) to enroll in Amazon Brand Registry?
Hi everyone,
I’m launching my brand and I’ve filed a pending trademark directly through the USPTO (not via IP Accelerator). I’m based in the U.S.
According to Amazon’s Brand Registry page, it says you can enroll with:
- A registered trademark, OR
- A pending trademark filed through IP Accelerator, OR
- A pending registration trademark from a subset of accepted trademark offices
My question is:
Can I use my **pending U.S. trademark (filed on my own, not through IP Accelerator)** to enroll in Brand Registry? Or do I have to wait for full registration?
I’d like to confirm the current U.S. policy as of June, 2025.
Thank you!

Hi @Seller_S1cZwCqFF3ATe
Thank you for your inquiry about enrolling in Amazon's Brand Registry with your pending U.S. trademark. I appreciate your interest in protecting your brand on our platform.
As of June 2025, the current policy for U.S.-based sellers remains that you can enroll in Brand Registry with one of the following:
- A registered trademark
- A pending trademark filed through Amazon's IP Accelerator program
- A pending trademark from certain accepted trademark offices (which does not include the USPTO for direct filings)
Unfortunately, a pending U.S. trademark that was filed directly with the USPTO (not through IP Accelerator) is not currently eligible for Brand Registry enrollment. You would need to wait until your trademark is fully registered before you can enroll using that method.
If you wish to enroll sooner, you have two options:
- Wait for your current trademark application to be fully registered by the USPTO.
- File a new trademark application through Amazon's IP Accelerator program, which would allow you to enroll in Brand Registry while your trademark is still pending.
I hope this information helps clarify the current policy. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
Best regards,
Connor
