Sales down considerably?
Anyone else experiencing a large drop in sales? I realize that the holidays have just recently passed and tax time is upon us but I don't recall this kind of drop in sales this same time last year. Maybe something to do with elections as well? My products are larger priced items so generally sales aren't crazy but I went from around 20 orders a week to practically nothing in the last month or so. I have contacted Sales support and there are no issues with my account health or anything that the specialist could see. Spending $25 per day on advertising and have been for quite a few months now so it's not a new campaign. I'm just lost on what could be the problem other than time of year things.

You are not paying attention to the annual cycle of retail sales.
- Sales always slow way down in January.
- January is gift sard season, if you are selling things that can be paid for with a gift card, they will sell.
- In January, did you notice that retail stores do not advertising on tv. They know that is is a waste of investment. The next time you see Retail advertising on TV will be in February. This advertising will be for White Sales, to encourage females to go out and shop.
- Not sure just what you sell, nut if it is anything associated with your username, the weather all across the country would say don't buy now.

Feel free to pause the campaign if ROAS is too low, not worth it during Q1.

No, sales have not decreased, they have literally stopped. I have been searching for months. However, I could not find anything other than the classic answers on the forum regarding a solution.

Yes. This is my BUSY season. Has been for the last 15 years and I am down considerably, despite increased advertising, etc.

Last time is was this dead was right before covid and it feels like we are in 2020 all over again but last time we were saved by free money doubt alone is ever getting free money again time to brace for impact and double up presence on all platforms helps out with the slowdown.
.

REMEMBER WHEN AMAZON REMOVES BUY BOX ALL SALES ON THAT ITEM DROP BY 95% LISTING BASICALLY DEAD.
.
NO BUY BOX BUTTON NO SALES!

We are a Canadian company doing FBS orders on Amazon.com for about 13 years. Sales patterns are very predictable. But sales fell off the cliff this past week, down 95%. We're going to hold our breath for a little while to see if this issue resolves itself but it wouldn't surprise me if politics are playing a role.

Slowest January for me in over a decade on amazon. I just read credit card debt has hit a 12 year high.

I had zero sales yesterday. I can't remember the last time that happened. Ive been here since 2008.
December was kind of a bust for me...sales were brisk and increasing just before Thanksgiving, but declined thereafter, even through December...my sales always ramped UP from that point, not down.
Fun Fact: In 2024, China-based sellers increased their market share to more than 50% on Amazon.
Meanwhile, placement fees have greatly reduced my desire to send inventory into FBA, so I'm largely going back to FBM, which is never a way to grow.

Same thing here. Spending $30 on advertisements daily to net $0 profit after paying all the fees to Amazon. I'm selling products in the $79-$129 price range.
I guess cheap stuff from China will take over Amazon, it's getting promoted by algos aggressively, no room for pricier, quality products unless you pay big $$$ to promote.

We are down on all of our marketplaces and our website. Amazon is our biggest so the difference from last year at this time is scary. Hopefully tax refunds start rolling out soon as we always see an increase in sales from them.
