Deleting and creating a new parent ASIN

Hi, the parent ASIN i have created a couple months was specifically for color. I have since changed my mind, and would like a different quantity instead. My understanding is that i have to delete my parent ASIN and create a new one, but when i go to delete my parent ASIN it gives this warning. The last one is the one that scares me. I dont want my active listing to delete. If i press delete listing, will my active listing still be there??

Hi there @Seller_zY1tFr2CKvjiv,

It is totally okay to delete a Variation Parent and is the correct action if you want to change the Variation Relationship. You can create a new variation relationship (and a new Variation Parent) after using the Variation Wizard.

This warning exists if you try to delete any listing, including your children listings, which you should not have to delete to change the variation. Deleting the variation will not delete the child listings, merely turn them into stand alone listings until you rebuild the variation. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Thank you.
