Expanding to Amazon Mexico FBA with US Account/Entity

We have a US-based company and are selling in US and Canada pretty easily. I simply ship and pay duties for Canada to sell FBA in Canada and it is very easy.

However, upon trying to take advantage of Amazon FBA in Mexico, we encountered the RFC issue for which I have yet to find a good solution online after scouring the internet for some time.

Can anyone share their experience of how they started selling in Amazon FBA MX from US and sending items to FBA warehouses in Mexico? What are the steps and things to look out for? This information would be valuable to thousands of sellers. Amazon Seller Support is not useful as usual so I need some personal experience.

Good afternoon @Seller_z56zmYqo8FoQN,

It sounds like you're describing utilizing Mexico FBA, which is requiring the RFC information. To my knowledge, you need to apply in person for the RFC. However, you may want to look into Amazon Remote Fulfillment as a way to avoid that process.

Remote Fulfillment with FBA lets sellers in the US sell to customers in Canada and Mexico without having to send inventory to those countries. When you enroll in the program and create offers on Amazon.ca and Amazon.com.mx, Fulfillment by Amazon will use your inventory in US fulfillment centers to fulfill orders across the border directly to the customer, through Amazon Services LLC.

You can read more about the program, and how to apply, by visiting this link. Let me know if you have any other questions!
