Shipping FBM from Canada to US
We are based in Canada and sell our products in both Canada and the US. Our average sale is about $15. We ship in Canada via Canada Post without a tracking number, as it falls under the $30 threshold.
We have been suspended from the US side since their threshold is set at $10. We had been shipping into the US for several years without a problem, using USPS first-class mail via Chit Chats without tracking. As you can imagine, the cost to use a tracked service in the US is higher than any potential profit that I might realize
I was wondering if anyone else had the same situation, and what can be done to have my account reinstated for the US.
Thanks

I'm surprised that Chit Chats still allows you to ship USPS first class mail from Canada.
The US CBP suspended that with Stallion Express as all shipments now need to go though formal entry with the removal of de minimis.
We seem to have the best rates with our Canada Post Commercial Account. We used to use UPS mail innovations with Stallion, but it became more expensive and is iffy right now with customs. All our Canada Post US bound shipments are going through.
You would have to follow the instructions in your performance notification.

Hello @Seller_609MLJnfE8Oeq,
Thank you for posting your concerns with your valid tracking information.

As mentioned there seems to be an issue with orders coming from Canada to the US. You are correct that the US policy does require tracking on any orders that does not meet the exemption requirement in our VTR help page.
Exemptions from VTR calculation
The following items will be exempt from the VTR calculation:
- Digital products such as audiobooks.
- Less than $10 domestic packages (excluding taxes, including shipping charges) shipped by USPS, using "USPS Standard Mail envelopes" or "USPS First Class Mail envelopes" shipping service.
- Less than $15 packages (excluding taxes, including shipping charges) shipped from UK or India to the US, shipped by an Amazon integrated carrier with an untracked shipping service, selected from the carrier/shipping service drop-down field on the shipping conformation page of Seller Central.
- Packages shipped to the US from anywhere other than the US, Canada, the UK, India, the United States Minor Outlying Islands, American Samoa, or China.
When you completed these orders, did you provide tracking, or were these orders exempt? Could you share your order ID, or any related cases you have on the situation for further review? Additionally, I wanted to share some information on addressing this type of situation.
We will ask that you navigate to your account health page where you will see the valid tracking rate section, within this section, you will see the list of categories you sell. Any deactivation should be visible with an appeal button next to the specific category. You should find a questionnaire surrounding our VTR policy and requirements, along with questions on what exactly took place.
Making your selections will allow our teams to better understand your situation and why this happened. This will also be used to confirm the situation or solutions are in place to prevent future occurrences. If we are satisfied with the selections made and what occurred, the issue may be resolved, otherwise we may request a more detailed written explanation. Once you go through this process feel free to follow up if you need any additions guidance on next steps.
