WHY AMAZON CHARGES SHIPPING IF I MADE THE SHIPPING WITH AN AMAZON SHIPPING SUPPLIER?

Hello Amazon friends

I have a question, it is my first shipment, I did not send it through the Amazon shipping service, because I am not at my address during the day, I work and I have no way to wait for the box to be picked up, so I paid an external company to Amazon to take the box to the Amazon logistics center that appeared in the guide, however I notice that an Amazon shipping discount appears in my account as if Amazon had picked it up, which is false, discounting the shipping value, it's a mistake? or did I do something wrong by sending it externally?

Thank you very much for your guidance

Hi @Seller_f3QNjTjN1id2W!

Congrats on your first shipment! I can see it's FBA STA (14/02/2024 00:11)-YOW3, so to answer your question, the guide you are referring to is our Partnered Carrier Options.

Actual shipping costs may vary from any estimates, and you are responsible for the actual costs. All Amazon Partnered Carrier charges are summarized each month on your Settlement report as a single line item.

So that's basically what happened, you did in fact pay our Small parcel delivery (SPD) carrier and you can verify this within the Shipment Details under the "Shipment" tab and you click where it says "Show more" you will see:

As the help page says, Small parcel deliveries (SPDs) consist of units packed in individual boxes and individually labeled for delivery, so the amount that you are visualizing for this shipment is the "-$7.06" right?

This can also be viewed from the Transaction View within your Pages page, if you click the "Total" link of those -$7.06, you will come across the following page:

img

This is not a charge nor a discount or refund of any kind, this is just accounting the total amount you paid to the partner carrier and this will always be recorded for your visibility for accounting purposes.

Since this is your first shipment, I took the liberty to show you the step by step, but it's a great question to clarify!

Hope this gives you the insight you were looking for, wish you the very best in future online sales.
