Inventory Suddenly Moved to FC Processing – Request for Clarification
I’m reaching out regarding an issue with one of my products. Out of a total inventory of 272 units, 201 units have recently been removed from active selling status and are now showing as “FC Processing.” It has been several days, and these units are still not available for sale.
Meanwhile, the remaining 71 units are still selling normally, which adds to the confusion. Prior to this, everything was working fine, and there were no issues with the listing or inventory movement.
Could you please clarify what’s happening with the 201 units currently in FC processing? I’d appreciate any insight into why this sudden change occurred and when I can expect those units to become available again.
Thank you for your support.
Best regards,

Hi @Seller_UcP66FwIYJOTf
Christine here from Amazon Forums.
I understand your concern about the 201 units showing as "FC Processing." Let me explain what's likely happening:
This is typically related to Amazon's transshipment process. Transshipment is Amazon's internal inventory redistribution system where inventory is moved between fulfillment centers to optimize delivery speeds. This helps maintain Amazon's delivery promises to customers.
In your specific situation, 201 units are currently in transit between fulfillment centers, while 71 units remain available for sale at their current FC location. The status "FC Processing" confirms that these items are in the transshipment process.
Your inventory will automatically become available once received at the new FC.
It's important to note that this is a normal and automated process. No action is required from your end. The fact that 71 units are still available ensures that you can continue making sales during this period. The system is designed to maintain some inventory for active selling while moving the rest.
To manage this process effectively, consider keeping buffer stock to account for transshipment periods, monitor inventory age in different FCs, and factor in this timeline when planning restock shipments.
If you need any further clarification, please don't hesitate to ask. We're here to help ensure your selling experience runs smoothly.
Christine.
