Amazon not providing Prepaid Return Labels for Returns - FBM

We have been selling the same products for a couple of years now and recently (the last 4-5 weeks) we have noticed that Amazon is not providing prepaid return labels for most customer return requests. We've never had an issue for Amazon sending over a prepaid label to a customer when they elect to return an item (for whatever the reason may be), but for the past month almost all of our returns are not being populated with an Amazon return label for the customer. I was wondering if anyone else is having this problem and what the solution might be, or if a moderator might be able to help? It really messes up the refund process and creates frustration for the buyer (and, in turn, us!) Thanks in advance.

have you reviewed the detail page to see if it says the item is eligible for return?

I have noticed that Amazon is marking more and more items as non-returnable.

probably in hopes it slows returns. In these case you need to provide a return label.

In this example the item is not returnable. I get that nobody wants a used deodorant back, but the system can’t distinguish between a used item and if the customer simply ordered the wrong item and want to return it unused.

Hello @Seller_XBEzQ87CxcDUV

I am following up on your question about Prepaid Return Labels. Did you file a support case with some specific orders and ASINs you were expecting to have those labels issued?

Yes, I usually get about 1 return request a year. Had one about a month ago that was correctly sent prepaid label as it was something that we overlooked in a book. This week I have 3 returns. Label not provided on any. First on was "arrived to late, but it arrived 2 days after shipping, so I thought Amazon could tell this so sent label without postage. Second was "ordered by mistake", again no prepayment. The 3rd, however was a complaint "disc so scratched they would not play". This set was like new and every disc was perfect, so was surprised they got an unpaid label, saving me from requesting refund on label and taking pictures of the dvds. My default is to send unpaid label, but didn't think that meant anything, depending on reason..
