Amazon lost my shipment so why should I pay for it?

I sent 4 boxes of used media products to Amazon. Each registered as being delivered to terminal. Over a month later they're stating 19 of 90 items were located (they lost 3 of the 4 boxes). When I file a claim they want an original receipt or documents to back up my purchase but that problem with that is I only have general receipts. They don't show the individual product names.

This doesn't mean that Amazon shouldn't cough up a payment for losing my items. If you want clients to be confident in your FBA warehousing options then you need to stand by your mistakes when you made them. Ref # FBA187QSPCLM, 1XKJJK4X

What if the carrier lost the items before getting to Amazon? Why would Amazon be responsible? You would have to go after the carrier for what you insured the value of the shipment for.

Hello @Livres_d_Ultima

Thank you for contacting Amazon Forums.

I understand your situation and that is why I have decided to contact the FBA team for them to review this and advise how to proceed. It is important to mention that what they asked you for in the case is the correct process. Amazon needs that information to start the investigation, nevertheless, I am asking them to have a second review to determine if we can proceed with the details available.

I will keep you posted as soon as I hear from them.
