Hello @Seller_wE9KdfdzBdajm

Christine here from Amazon Forums.

The root of the problem here is that certain product categories on Amazon Canada require approval from the marketplace before sellers can list items within them. This is to ensure that only qualified, authorized sellers are offering those products to Canadian customers.

Some of the common restricted categories on Amazon.ca include:

  • Health & Personal Care
  • Beauty
  • Grocery & Gourmet Food
  • Baby Products
  • Sports & Outdoors
  • and many others

When you were initially able to list the ASIN B079D48PL4, it's likely that this product fell into one of these restricted categories. As a new seller without the proper approvals, Amazon's systems eventually caught on and gated your ability to sell that item.

The approval process for these categories can vary, but typically involves providing documentation, licenses, invoices, and other evidence that you are an authorized seller of those products. This helps Amazon ensure that customers are purchasing genuine, legitimate goods.

My advice would be to thoroughly review Amazon's policies for the categories you want to sell in on the Canadian marketplace. Identify which ones require pre-approval, and then begin that application process as soon as possible. The more prepared you can be with the required information, the smoother this will go.

Once you've obtained the necessary approvals, you shouldn't encounter any further gating issues for those categories. However, keep in mind that Amazon is continuously monitoring for compliance, so maintaining those approvals is crucial.

I know navigating all these requirements can be complex, especially as a new seller. But taking the time to understand and comply with Amazon's policies will pay off in the long run by keeping your account in good standing. Please don't hesitate to reach out to Seller Support if you need any clarification or assistance along the way.
