Amazon Shipping Ground as only shipping option?

We have an order for a belt buckle going from Indiana to a PO Box in AZ. Amazon Shipping is giving us Amazon Shipping Ground as only shipping label option. We will instead buy a USPS label via ShipStation and lose our shipping protection. Anyone have a clue as to why Amazon would not offer USPS for this order?

Amazon hasn't been allowing USPS Ground Advantage on orders for us either the last couple of days, but I can see it's almost only for orders going to zones 6 & 7. So they must be noticing that this service isn't performing well to the farther destinations. Otherwise I don't know what the reason would be. It's really annoying. Just hoping/expecting that it is temporary.

When Amazon buy-shipping offers NO options for USPS, this means the bot believes that USPS does not deliver to that address. When you only see USPS options for Priority or Priority Express that's because the bots think it won't get there on time.

They are often wrong on both counts.

And yes, the Amazon bot is programmed to believe that USPS does not deliver to a post office address. At least this is the case with people who use their post office address in the form of street address (the post office street address) and box number as an "apartment" number.

I am seeing this for any US address with a P.O. Box, no street address. 2 so far today. The coding is bad, how long will it take for AZ to even recognize there is a problem?

We have the same issue with Amazon shipping as only option for shipping to a PO box to AZ from NJ?!!

There's some thing wrong now with this!! Amazon should only be allowing validated USPS and/or UPS/Fed Ex addresses and have USPS as a valid shipping method is a glitch. I hope this gets fixed. Doesn't make any sense. We do not use Amazon shipping as an option (and if there's a way, would like to be able to suppress or hide it).

This us now forcing us to by shipping elsewhere and not be coveredby a INR claim...this makes no sense - this has to be a glitch??

Mods can you look into this???
