UL 4200a Coin Cell Battery Certification

Hopefully an Amazon employee can chime in on this one.

I sell one product that belongs to many different ASIN variations. UL 4200a certification costs ~$800 per product.

Will I need to get provide testing for every variation even though the portion that uses the coin cell battery is the same?

More discussions here: New requirements for consumer products with button cell or coin batteries

But according to my understanding, yes, a lab test is required for every single SKU with coin batteries (with some exceptions for toys that are already covered under another law/requirement)

We have pulled our products. The reason amazon only knows how to harass sellers, not help them.

Good luck with your amazon problem.
