Failure to Transfer Funds -CIBC Cross border banking account(USD)

As a Canadian seller, I've recently taken the step of establishing a Cross Border banking account with CIBC to seamlessly receive USD payments from Amazon USA, thereby circumventing conversion fees. Following the successful verification of my account, I received the first payment. However, to my dismay, the payment was unsuccessful. In my pursuit of a solution, I reached out to CIBC to ascertain if they had any insights, but unfortunately, they couldn't identify any issues. Subsequently, I engaged with Amazon's support and received the following response:
"The amount has been returned to your account balance, and the current deposit method on file has been removed to prevent further payment failures. The processor response failure was 'Account number non_numeric.' Please be informed that the disbursement failed due to invalid bank details."
With this feedback in mind, I revisited my communication with CIBC and sought confirmation regarding the accuracy of my account number. They assured me that the account number is indeed correct. At this point, I find myself puzzled by the situation.
