I am a new member of Amazon Seller's account based in Canada (I made sure that I created my account with Amazon.ca). I was recently charged 45.19 USD (62.51 CAD) on Feb 9, 2024 by Amazon.com. I have no clue what this charge is for. On top of that, Amazon has charged me on a credit card that is not even active in my account. I have reached out to Amazon support via Chat, they said a concerned team should reach out to me via email shortly but it has been over 24 hours and no one contacted me regarding this payment.

Sounds like the monthly "Professional" fee for North America with 13% sales tax added.

You agreed when signing up for your professional amazon.com selling account that the monthly account fee would be $39.99 USD + tax / month to be able to sell and use the professional selling tools on this platform.

The good news is that if you don't use any of the benefits of the selling plan after 90 days, you will be eligible for a refund. But give it a try as a professional seller, it's a very complete plan, and you can take advantage of many tools to boost your sales in the platform.
