New Banking Account

We recently switched to a new bank for our buiness and have switched everything over to the new bank with the exception of our Amazon Seller Accout for deposits. The reason I have held off is because I have read several instances where many sellers did the same thing by changing banks and when adding/replacing it to their amazon account, Amazon deactivated their accounts. I had no issues with anyone else including Walmart, Ebay, Newegg, etc. however Amazon has me a little worried about changing. Amazon is the only one I have left to change before I can close the account.

Any experinces or suggestions to help avoid this from happening? I cannot afford to lose or get my Amazon account deactivated. Not sure why Amazon is so picky about things, I mean afterall people change banks all the time, not sure why Amzon has an issue with this.

Hello @Seller_JYcMpQG9Q4aqQ,

This is Josh from Amazon. Thank you for contacting our Forums!

I understand that you want to change your bank information. In this case, it is important to understand that, as per policies, "Whenever you add or change your bank account information, a three-day security hold goes into effect. Fund transfers cannot be initiated until the hold expires, including those from any settlement cycles that close during the hold period. We recommend that you do not update your bank account within three days of your next regularly scheduled disbursement to avoid any delays in payments. Only the primary account owner can make changes related to payment information."
