Valid Tracking Rate is innacurate

Every order we ship, we provide a valid tracking # that is 100% verified by the carrier, and yet our "valid tracking rate" is only 60% , that's completely inaccurate, how does Amazon determine a "valid" tracking info ?

It has to be an Amazon integrated tracking carrier. If the carrier's system isn't integrated into Amazon for their system to track, then it affects your valid tracking rate.

for some heavy shipments we use a carrier that is not listed by Amazon so I guess that affects the "valid" tracking rate

That is 100% the issue

why do they have "OTHER" in the drop menu, which means they accept other carriers!
View post

You can use "other" unintegrated carriers for 5% of your shipments as you have to keep a VTR of 95% or above.

For example Purolator has "Freight LTL" which is separate unit for heavy shipments, would the tracking from that service be validated

If the Purolator tracking pin is in the same database and can be tracked at purolator.com on the regular tracking page, yes it should work.

this would be convenient for the customer and would resolve the inaccurate VTR issue.

This would be inconvenient for the customer, they want to just see the status on their orders page on the app, instead of copy and pasting urls and weblinks and tracking numbers, and they'd like the app to auto update and notify of delivery. That is the advantage to using a tracking courier, the customer gets a notification on their phone right away through the Amazon app when the courier drops off the package so they can go out and get it.
