Amazon Issued A Refund On An Item Not Yet Returned

I received a message from a customer who order the wrong size. I responded immediately and told them it was no issue and please return the item to the address listed on the return packaging slip. Not long after i sent this message, Amazon went and refunded the order.

Please look into this. Its not okay for me to not have received the item back to then refund the customer per Amazons return policy.

if your buyer opened a return request and used the return shipping label generated, then the refund was issued on first scan. This means that as soon as the carrier scans the return label proving it is being sent back, Amazon issues the refund.

It's called RFS. If the return label was scanned, then it is automatically refunded. There is no way to remove this or get around it.
