A - Z Amazon Okay with fraud
Here's the situation.
Customer claiming they didn't receive item.
The customer signed for the package. I have the signature. (Provided in the correspondence with customer) The customer had to to go to Canada Post office to pick up item. The customer had to show ID to get order. The name on the order has to match the name on the ID. NO one else can pick up package. SO WHO SIGNED FOR THE PACKAGE???
Amazon awards customer with refund
Amazon and the customer are now jointly committing fraud.

If someone else picked up the package, then you file a claim with Canada Post and get your money back from them. Canada Post would then contact the customer to verify that they did not receive the package.
The customer would then have to make a formal declaration to Canada Post and if they lie about it, they can be federally prosecuted.
It is Canada Post's duty to make sure that the package is picked up by the Customer or someone else at the address.
It's not Amazon's fault if someone else picked up the package, it's the courier's fault.
However, if the signature matches the name on the order, then you have an easy a to z claim dispute win if you follow the instructions on the template exactly.

Hi @Seller_2k9ll1WgKerX7,
This is Daryl from our Community Management team.
I see you are facing an issue with missing inventory and our overall A-Z Claim Policies.
I know from first glance that this process might be tedious, and your question is more orientated to seller experiences and overall feedback from selling partners, I'd like to help you further escalate the appeal process if you haven't already submitted one, as a community manager my goal is to give you a more concrete pathway to resolution.
Furthermore, I would absolutely do @Seller_7LrAV0m5llaI7explanation as we can hold the carrier accountable for these type of situations and have this as a piece of evidence and have a crucial point for a successful argument for any possible claims, also taking into reference the next resource:
Prevent an A-to-z Guarantee claim
It's important to note that if the customer has an issue with delivery, Amazon directs the customer to use Buyer-Seller Messages to alert you of the issue. For delivery-related issues, the customer must also wait 3 days past the maximum estimated delivery date (EDD) before they are eligible to file a claim.
There are many points we can specify to hold the buyer accountable, alongside our policy of customers must first contact you and give you an opportunity to resolve their issue, before engaging with a direct claim like the experience you shared through this post.
If the buyer does continue with the claim process, we can present the mentioned points above and utilize the next help pages to elaborate a very elaborate dispute with proof and evidence:
Respond to an A-to-z Guarantee Claim
Appeal an A-to-z Guarantee Claim
Important points to take into account:
a-) The text box does not support attachments. If you must attach any documents, use Buyer-Seller Messages to attach documents and send it to the customer. State in your A-to-z Guarantee Claim response that you have attached (such as POD) in Buyer-Seller Messages.
b-) When you appeal a Claim decision, either the cost of the refund or the impact to your ODR may be reversed. It may take up to 7 calendar days for the ODR reversal to reflect on the Orders page or to refund your selling account.
I'd like to provide a pathway to the most optimal solution for you, let me know if I can further assist with anything else.
Daryl

I dunno, i've always had luck and success by following the rules here.
If someone else signed for it and not the customer, then the carrier is responsible. I don't see how it's Amazon's fault if someone else other than the addressed customer signed for the package.
I would just file a claim with the carrier and get reimbursed.
Policies you agreed to when you signed up to be a seller on Amazon. If you follow their policies, you shouldn't have any trouble.

Did you appeal the claim?
Seller_QM7oMalOGPML0
This just happened to me as well. I called and complained and got my case transferred which it has now been sitting for almost 3 months
Amazon is A JOKE! They do not care for sellers, they will always grant the buyer if they claim this even though they tell you to put a signature on it WHICH I DID AS WELL
You got this A******* in facebook groups telling each other how to rip sellers off on Amazon! Its getting worse, the seller protection on here SUCKS!
Seller_7LrAV0m5llaI7
@Seller_QM7oMalOGPML0 No need to, I'll post my last years of scammer's A to Z claims i've won that is closed or not granted by seller funded below:

Welcome to Amazon's world where they make it easy to defraud business owners, free products for everyone as long as amazon gets their 15%, why deny the costumers claim and punish them for being a scumbag, when you can punish honest sellers and charge them commisions whether the seller gets paid for the product or not. Just let the scumbag keep getting away for it so they rinse and repeat and terrorize other sellers and keep making your 15%. Good business model

faster you understand amazon is the fraud the better off you will become.

is sharing the facts. Don't like it?
Too many out there sharing incorrect info...learn from experienced sellers who share realities here on the forums....
A lot of people don't like my facts, but the fact of the matter is, I quit my dayjob in 2021 after starting to sell on Amazon in the summer of 2020, and have been a full time Amazon seller ever since, and since then Amazon has been supporting myself and my family, and helps me continuity expand my business.
A lot of people don't want to listen from experienced sellers and believe that they are right, instead of listening to reality

I dunno, I started in summer of 2020 selling on Amazon, and by the summer of 2021, I had to quit my dayjob to focus on Amazon, and Amazon has been supporting me and my family pretty well the last 3 years.
That's against Amazon policy
