FBA Inbound Shipments REFUSED Shipments From USPS
Out of the 60 units I sent via USPS, only 14 have been accepted without issue. However, 13 units have been REFUSED, and Amazon has provided no explanation for this. The reason given was, "Customer refused delivery because package was not wanted."
When I contacted customer service, all I got was, "Oh, we don't know why this happened, but you should maybe use our partner shipping, UPS."
If the only acceptable method for FBA shipments is UPS, then why offer options like DHL, FedEx, FedEx Ground, UPS (non-partnered carrier), USPS, and Other?
Postage isn't free. I can't keep sending packages only to have them returned without any valid reason. This situation is incredibly frustrating and unacceptable.

Was the item possibly damaged during transit? I've had packages refused before due to damage, and I'm wondering if that could be the issue here.

my 2 packages were refused from USPS also. 2 different Canada fulfillment centers. I paid postage and duty.
If Amazon doesn’t want us USPS they should state that. I wasted time and money .

I've had this happen as well. The reason is that Amazon requires a delivery appointment and the post office doesn't play that game. If the USPS delivery driver shows up at an Amazon warehouse security gate and is told that to go wait in the delivery waiting area for several hours until it's their turn they will say no thank you, report the refusal and leave.

I had the same issue with Stockton and Goodyear Warehouses.

This happened to me too last month using the option USPS (non-partnered carrier). My box was "refused delivery and sent back to sender." It took 2 weeks to be returned, then I had to resend it via UPS. All that money wasted on inbound fees and shipping fees. However, I just assumed that the USPS carriers in that area didn't know how to deliver to Amazon in the exact way Amazon likes it. But now I don't know what to think. I do know that I will only use UPS henceforward, I don';t have the time or the money to waste on things like this. It takes the FBA 1 month already to get your items for sale for Prime. Geesh...

Yeah, the USPS is not really a commercial carrier and they do not have a great solution for delivery to Amazon. We used it one time and didn't like how they handled it.
Strongly recommend not using USPS. UPS has the contract with Amazon. If you have 60 units, divide as many as possible into just under 50 lb boxes and do 6 shipments for the best rates and avoiding the placement fees.
If the Units are viable to ship via USPS, then I would not FBA them at all, just do Merchant Fulfilled. FBA has become a very tough game and we no longer send much there.

This is why i stopped doing FBA. I was only doing hazmat. During covid, UPS and FEDEX where impossible to contact a human to set up a hazmat account, i wasted all that $$$ getting certified. I had no choice but to use USPS.
Well, if there was a rift between the USPS union and amazon dock workers, they accepted nothing from USPS. They simply returned it all. And of course, i had to pay return shipping. My postmaster forgave the fees once, but i shipped em all on the same day, when the second warehouse came back , i had to pay hundreds to get my items back.
I started calling each post office before i shipped. That worked to confirm they would deliver. But then amazon started losing shipments that were clearly delivered.
I threw my hands and hundreds$$ in the air and just do merchant fulfilled now after over a decade of doing 50% FBA. I have zero tolerance for theft.

Same thing happened to me, then USPS lost the shipment in the multiple re-trys.
Cost me $1000... USPS demanded a receipt from the manufacturer to show damage amount. I am the manufacturer. USPS demanded a receipt from the manufacturer to show damage amount. I am the manufacturer. USPS demanded a receipt from the manufacturer to show damage amount. I am the manufacturer. USPS demanded a receipt from the manufacturer to show damage amount. I am the manufacturer.
The claim timed out, I was out the $$. Never USPS again.

I posted elsewhere in this thread about similar issues, but just for the record:
* ONT8 accepted USPS without incident (twice)
* SCK4 & CLT2 refused USPS, resulting in a net loss of $150 USD on shipping charges
* TEB9 ended up accepting a shipment after the "business" was "closed" during the first attempt.
@Topher_Amazon, I saw you posting about these issues in another thread - is it possible for sellers to seek reimbursement for shipping fees on refused shipments? It's not reasonable to hold sellers responsible for AMZ warehouses refusing shipments from carriers that are on your approved list.
