Item "currently unavailable" to buyers
I’m posting this in hopes that an Amazon employee will see it and help us.
We are a small book publisher trying to post a book on Amazon manually, under the Individual plan.
The book shows as “Available” to us on the seller side (Manage Inventory screen) but in the marketplace it shows “Currently unavailable” to buyers.
Amazon seller support has not been able to resolve the issue. (Case ID 16394808461)
The original response from Amazon seller support gave us two actions to try:

We recommend you to use the product classifier tool or browse tree guides and provide the browse path or browse node id you retrieve from there for this product.
(1) You can access the product classifier tool in Seller Central by visiting: https://sellercentral.amazon.com/productclassify
(2) You can access the browse tree guides in Seller Central by visiting: https://sellercentral.amazon.com/help/hub/reference/1641

Neither of these suggestions has solved the problem -- in fact, following suggestion #1 has created further problems.
The book needs to be classified as BOOKS > LITERATURE & FICTION > LITERARY. This exact classification is available using the product classifier tool (option 1 above). To see what I mean, click the productclassify link above and you will be able to select BOOKS, then LITERATURE & FICTION, and then LITERARY. However, following these steps to resolve the issue creates a SECOND INVENTORY ITEM -- it does not fix the classification on the first inventory item. Initially, I stopped and did not pursue this option because I didn't want to create a second inventory item.
Instead, I tried the second suggestion to use browse tree guides -- however, the browse tree guide for books does NOT contain a classification for BOOKS > LITERATURE & FICTION > LITERARY -- or anything similar.
I have spoken with 2 amazon support reps to try to resolve this. Both submitted requests up the chain and both times their requests were rejected, leaving us at a dead-end with no further assistance.
So I went back to suggestion 1 and used the link to the productclassifer tool. This allowed me to select the needed classification (BOOKS > LITERATURE & FICTION > LITERARY) - HOWEVER, as I feared, this created a SECOND inventory item for this product. This second item shows the message "Missing Offer" and instructs me to "Add missing offer details" - HOWEVER, all offer details are entered, there is no missing info to add.
Now we have two inventory items for this book and neither is available to buyers.
Hoping to find some assistance here, as I have reached a dead end with Amazon support.
Thank you.

Creating a second listing for the same product will cause a massive problem. the Amazon Bot will always send you back to the original listing using the same UPC and ISNB.
1. Is your listing complete with no open boxes?
2. is your publishing company USTPO registered?
3. Did you register tout publishing company with Amazon Brand Selling?
4. When you place your ISBN number and/or your UPC in the Google browser, does it show your book on not. Amazon placed them both is the google browser and will see the same results as you. If if shows nothing, that will be a big problem.

Hello there @Seller_6uYn31U5j3VV6
My name is CR and wanted to quickly jump in here. I had a chance to review case #16394808461 and I can see that they had recently in the last day updated the browse node for your ASIN. Please review the most recent entry from the support associate there for more information.
Please do report back here if for some reason this resolution does not work.
