Customer's address cannot be found in Canada Post's databse

I keep getting orders from customers from very rural areas whose address cannot be found in Canada Post's database, meaning that the carrier might not be able to deliver to that location. When I enter the customer's postal code it seems that Canada Post wants a PO Box number instead, but when I contact the customer to ask for their PO Box number I can't seem to reach them, even after I put the word "Important" in the subject headline. How am I supposed to fulfill their orders?

Any help would be deeply appreciated.

Just use the address as given -- you are allowed to manually overide Canada Post's address suggestions. Trust the local posties to know where it gets delivered.

I just had one for Site 25 Camp 10 RR 6 -- Canada Post only had RR 6 (Rural Route 6).

Had another for a street address in small community. Canada Post only had PO boxes for addresses. It was delivered okay. Not everyone in a small community has a post office box, those without have to go to the PO's general delivery section to pickup up mail (did that for a couple years when I was in highschool).

If it worries you, make sure the customer phone number is included on the package.

Just ship it to the order address. That's how you get covered.

Small towns everyone knows everyone. It will eventually reach the customer.

The tracking number will show it being held for delivery at the post office and the customer can pick it up there.

It does happen quite a bit, in my case. Just enter the address (manually) exactly as the buyer wrote it, you'll be fine.
