Amazon Temporary Authorizations on Credit Card

Was alerted by my credit card this am regarding possible fraduelent activity on my card. Upon further inspection found 7 charges from amazon. They all originated from the 4 marketplaces that I am currently approved for, Amazon US, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil. All were for $0.00 except the 2 from Mexico that came up as $1.19.

I've been selling for a year and a half, so I know that when setting up your credit card you receive temporary authorizations to validate your payment card, but is this a yearly occurrence? I cannot seem to find it anywhere on Amazon Seller describing this.

Or someone has actually hacked your card. I would check with your credit card company.

Hi @Seller_7Vrlh0sutdBIe,

Steve from Amazon here, thank you for reaching out. Temporary authorizations may be placed on charge methods periodically.

In the NA region seller participate in the North America and Brazil Unified Account. With a North America and Brazil Unified Account, you can conveniently switch between Amazon.com, Amazon.ca, Amazon.com.mx, and Amazon.com.br seller tools in Seller Central to list products and manage orders in all stores.

For charge methods, it is recommended that sellers add credit cards that allow international charges as you you will pay the fees applicable to the store in which the item was sold. Your monthly Professional selling plan subscription fee will be allocated to each North American store in which you have active listings on your monthly billing day, and will be limited to USD 39.99 or its equivalent in total.

If you do not wish to sell in a certain store, you can delete any active listings and remove inventory in that store. You can then put that store into vacation mode.

Thanks,

Steve
