Amazon splitting shipments to 3 warehouses

In the past Amazon would never split your shipment if you were sending 18 units or more of an item. We knew we could pack 25 units of an item in a box and it would not get split or 31 item of a product or 60 units. You get the idea. But now it doesn't matter what quantity you're trying to ship, it's being split into 3 warehouses and all 3 warehouses are 40 minutes away from each other so I know it has NOTHING to do with customer getting the product on time because majority of the units would get trasferred to other warehouses. So since Monday I stopped sending my shipments because if Amazon wants me to send 2 units of a particular item to a warehouse, I am not paying crazy shipping fees just for 2 units. It's eating into our profits.

Is Amazon super busy because of prime day so they're doing this so we don't send our shipments?

Anyone else having this issue?

Greetings @Seller_kRhjniYjYnXo7,

Thanks for taking the time to post! Others have noted a similar experience as yours over the past few months, so you're not alone. In fact, I see you're commenting in a separate thread with my colleague Taylor. The default setting of distributed inventory placement does mean that shipments may be split and sent to multiple FCs. There are numerous variables that would dictate why a shipment may need to be split to multiple FCs (storage capacity within a given FC, increased fulfillment times, etc.)

If you're interested, you can sign up for the Inventory Placement service to have your shipments sent to one FC or receive center, and Amazon will split it up from there if need be. You can read more about the program here.

Thanks again for posting, please let me know if there is anything else I can assist with.
