Can't delete my listing from Amazon. Help!

@Bryce_Amazon@Cooper_Amazon@Jameson_Amazon@KJ_Amazon

Hello

I deleted a listing from my dashboard but for some reason the listing is still live on Amazon.

I reached out to support MANY times and they just keep giving me the run around and saying someone else is currently selling on MY listing so that's why it can't be fully deleted from Amazon.

This is MY listing and the listing holds MY trademarks and intellectual property that I no longer want on Amazon. I no longer sell on Amazon. As of now seller support is refusing to delete this listing and thus using all my IP without my permission. I am a registered brand with a registered trademark. And the media used on the listing is my IP

Can someone from Amazon here please help with this? I am tired of getting nowhere with the historically useless seller support.

Here one of the pending open cases - 16716577831

Thanks

Hi @Seller_gdX6mm1HIo4ov,

I know this might not be the answer you were hoping for, but I’m just sharing my understanding of the situation to help you evaluate your options.

From what I know, deleting a listing from your catalog removes your offer, but it doesn’t remove the product from Amazon’s catalog entirely. If other sellers are offering the product, the listing remains active. If no one is selling it, the listing typically shows as “Out of Stock” and eventually loses visibility over time.

Completely removing a product listing from Amazon’s catalog is generally not something a seller can demand. Based on Amazon’s terms of service, when sellers upload content like images or descriptions, they grant Amazon the right to use that content. This means Amazon isn’t obligated to remove the listing, even if the images or content are your intellectual property.

If other sellers are currently offering your product, there are two possibilities:

  1. If those sellers have sourced the product directly from you or through intermediaries, my understanding is that their offerings might be considered legitimate by Amazon, even if you no longer sell the product yourself. In this case, your options to have the listing removed may be limited.
  2. If those sellers are not offering your exact product or are using your brand name or intellectual property without authorization, you might be able to take action using the Brand Protection tools available through the Amazon Brand Registry.

I hope there’s something useful in what I shared. Maybe the Amazon Mods you tagged in your post have additional ideas or corrections to what I’ve said. Wishing you all the best, and I hope you find a way to resolve this soon.

Kind regards, Michael

Hi there @Seller_gdX6mm1HIo4ov,

I apologize however Amazon does not remove products from the catalog at the request of Brand Owners. As indicated on the Report Infringement Form:

When a product detail page is created, it becomes a permanent catalog page on Amazon that will remain even if the creator's inventory sells out. Additionally, when you add your copyrighted image to a product detail page, you grant Amazon and its affiliates a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable right to exercise all rights of publicity over the material.

Other sellers can list their items for sale against pages or copyrighted images that you have used. However, we do require sellers to list only against product detail pages that exactly match their items. If you believe sellers are listing against product detail pages that do not exactly match their items, we ask that you report the violation directly by using the contact us form.

If believe another Seller is listing a product that does not match the detail page you can complete a test buy and then Report the Violation. I'm sorry for any difficulties this creates and thank you for your understanding.
