Customer signed package, says it never came

Hello,

Title says it all. This individual bought a FBM product from me, and even though I did not buy a signature required with my shipping label, Canpar still had him sign the package and he signed UNDER HIS NAME.

Now he is telling me it never came. What do I do?

Hello @Seller_weu5C3hytYJvl

Christine here from Amazon Forums.

This is a serious situation involving potential buyer fraud, but fortunately, you have strong evidence to protect yourself. Here's what you should do:

1. Collect all evidence:

  • The Canpar tracking information
  • The signature confirmation with the buyer's name
  • All communication with the buyer
  • Your original shipping label/receipt

2. If the buyer opens an A-to-Z claim or chargeback:

  • Respond promptly with your evidence
  • Specifically highlight that the signature matches the buyer's name
  • Note that this appears to be potential fraud

3. Open a case with Seller Support immediately and provide:

  • A clear explanation of the situation
  • Screenshots of the delivery confirmation, showing the signature
  • The tracking number
  • All relevant correspondence with the buyer

Rest assured that Amazon takes these matters seriously. Since you have a valid signature confirmation (even though you didn't request it), this serves as proof of delivery and should protect you as a seller.

Do not contact the buyer directly about potential fraud accusations. Let Amazon's team handle the investigation.

If you need additional assistance, please feel free to reach out to Seller Support directly, and they can guide you through any specific next steps for your case.

Christine.
