Facing Button Cell Battery Compliance Issue

Hello,

I need help with the following cases:

Case ID: 15278969071, 15279055631, 15279115751, 15281083171, 15280481451, 15279009921, 15279120071, 15281010671

In April, we received a notification from Amazon requiring us to submit Consumer Button Cell Battery compliance documents for our ASINs. So far, 3120 ASINs have been flagged. We sell light signs that work with a remote, which requires a cell battery. However, we do not provide the battery; buyers must purchase it separately. The policy states: "All consumer products containing or capable of containing button or coin batteries—regardless of whether the battery(ies) can be replaced or not. Button batteries look like small, squat silver cans from five to 25mm in diameter and one to six mm high—resembling a button." Since the remote can contain a cell battery, we submitted a GCC and test report as requested.

Today, we received a reply from the related team stating they need further documents, and the message is as follows:

*******************

Hello,

We are still missing the following documents that we need to continue with the approval process for your product.

Amazon’s policies require that products containing button or coin batteries sold in the Amazon store meet specified certification standards. To sell these products on Amazon, you must apply and submit the following:

• Images showing product model/item number, relevant safety information, compliance markings, hazard warnings, and all sides of the product packaging;

• Product images as evidence of compliance with the following:

i) Precautionary labeling statement requirements (Public Law 117-171)

ii) Reese’s Law Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPR) on labeling of consumer product button cell or coin batteries

We noticed that the image in the Test Report KEYS24042898001UL-01 does not confirm the product listed below is the same as the product in the image on the detail page:

To continue with the approvals process for your product, please update the product's Detail Page with the correct information, including product images which show that the product is the same when compared to the product images on the detail page.

For information on our compliance requirements and details on how to submit the documents, see our help page at https://sellercentral.amazon.com/help/hub/reference/external/GUBLQYWAJDBADUVK.

This case now will be closed but we welcome you to re-open this case as soon as you are able to provide the required compliance documents.

We appreciate your cooperation on this important matter.

Thank you for selling with Amazon,

*****************************

All the policy and information mention in the reply are regarding to the product "CONTAINS" a cell battery, but not "CAPABLE of containing" a cell battery. Since we do not include a cell battery in our product, we have no clues how to take the photo as per requested. The test report also doesn't show what is mentioned in the reply because our product does not include a cell battery.

Please help, as we have 3120 ASINs flagged and it is putting real pressure on us.
