I am not a brand owner, but I have created a listing and added a custom QR code on each product sold which takes customers to our custom instructional video and written instructions. Both the QR code and the link have our company name and logo displayed. The title, description and image on the listing all state and show the QR code as being part of the purchase.

There is a seller who started selling on the listing we created, but is not providing customers with the custom QR code as indicated on the listing. I have submitted multiple requests via "Report Abuse" and have also submitted multiple cases.

I have found the Report Abuse tool and the cases to be very unhelpful. When I submit a request via the report abuse tool, I receive a canned response within 30 seconds, stating "We cannot take action on the report as no violation has been identified on the reported ASIN for the violation type selected."

The people responding to my cases keep telling me the only way to report a violation is through the report abuse tool.

When using the report abuse tool I clearly state the violation, in fact, I copy and paste the violation directly from Amazon's policy. See below.

"we do require sellers to list only against product detail pages that exactly match their items. If you believe sellers are listing against product detail pages that do not exactly match their items, we ask that you report the violation directly by using the contact us form."

Can someone please escalate this to the report abuse team or to a manager? It is unfair that sellers are being penalized and not protected by Amazon from sellers who are doing the wrong thing.

Please Help.

Hello @Seller_3yw0I2Va7b4Ld

I understand your frustration. Amazon does take seller violations seriously, but they often rely on sellers like you to report issues we observe.

Here are some effective steps you can take to report seller violations:

  1. Gather evidence: Document the violation with screenshots, links, or other relevant information.
  2. Use the 'Report a Violation' tool: Go to the specific product listing and click on the 'Report incorrect product information' link. Choose the appropriate violation type.
  3. For more serious issues: Contact Seller Support directly through your Seller Central account. Provide a clear, factual description of the violation and include your evidence.
  4. Be patient but persistent: Amazon may take time to investigate. If you don't see action, follow up after a reasonable period.

Remember, by reporting violations effectively, you're not only protecting your business but also contributing to a fairer marketplace for all sellers. If you have any other concerns, don't hesitate to reach out to Seller Support for guidance.

Hope this helps!
