Do we need any particular approval to sell adult / sex toys?

Hi - couldn't find any concrete answer so wanted to check if there any approval we need to sell adult toys here? Or we can list anything as long it abides by all the related policies?

Thanks

Hi @Seller_WWNrTmQjxv31c,

I checked the Adult Products and Explicit Sexual Imagery Guidelines (link) and can help clarify what's needed to sell adult toys on Amazon.

The good news is that sexually suggestive products are generally allowed for sale. Under the "Adult products covered by this policy" section, it states that these items are acceptable as long as they don't exploit minors, promote non-consensual acts, or violate any laws.

There are some important guidelines to follow though. Your products need to be:

  • Listed in Health, Household & Baby Care > Sexual Wellness category
  • New condition only
  • Free from explicit imagery or nudity on the product/packaging
  • Described using clinical, business-like language
  • Properly labeled with expiration dates (where applicable)

The help page includes a detailed table ("Table 1: Products covered under Adult Products") that lists all the specific product types allowed, from vibrators to bondage gear.

I don't see any mention of special approval requirements for this category, but since policies can vary by specific product, you might want to double-check any particular items you're planning to sell through the Add a Product tool.

Hope this helps clarify things! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Best regards, Michael
